NYC: Nomo Soho Penthouse

C O C K T A I L P A R T Y

I just stayed at the Nomo Soho Penthouse Suite and I am still in awe of how beautiful it is. The clean design, floor to ceiling windows overlooking the city in every room and the TWO balconies that gives magnificent views of basically the entire city.

One of the balconies is 750 square feet, with artificial grass, lounge chairs and get this, an outdoor bathroom. It is the perfect place to host a party, special occasion or a company party. It has that “WOW” factor from the moment you step into the suite.

The catering menu has everything from tray passed apps, food stations to a sit down dinner. You can basically order what your heart desires. Since I threw a more spring themed cocktail party I had the following menu:

Food:

Meat & Cheese Board with Veggies & a Side of Bread
(bread half GF half regular)

Little Gem Salad

Chicken & Veggie Skewers

Beef Sliders

French Fries

Desserts:

Apple Cobbler

Strawberry Cheesecake

They were more than accommodating with dietary restrictions like gluten & dairy. It was so easy to work with them from start to finish. They also provided high top tables, votive candles and I worked with a wonderful local florist for my florals.

Balconies:

They have two private balconies that are perfect for entertaining! The North end balcony is 250 sq feet and the South End which is my favorite is 750 sq ft! It’s fully covered in turf, has seating areas throughout and an outdoor bathroom. The views from the balconies are magnificent and if you’re lucky enough to catch a sunset from up there it’s magic.

Florals:
Sviba Decorators are a must if you are in NYC and needing some floral designs for your next party. They are not the traditional florist but even better, they’re floral artists. Each arrangement is so unique! I just told them my color scheme, a little info on my cocktail party and they more than delivered. I emailed with Cathy who is the owner to start and I must stay, from our fist interactions I knew she was going to be so fun to work with. I then had a call with her husband, Barry and that was it! You know that feeling when you just vibe with someone? Well I had that with both of them and I was so excited to work with them! They are professional, sweet, talented and easy to communicate with. Barry & Cathy, it was a pleasure to work with you and you will be hearing from me next time I have an event in NYC.

My Stay at Nomo Soho Penthouse:

I feel like I need to go room by room for this because it’s just that good!

The Kitchen is an open kitchen which I love! It makes it so great for hanging out with friends, family or entertaining. From the kitchen there’s a large dining table that can fit 6-8 people and a nice L-shaped couch to lounge. This space is where you can enter both balconies and once again, it has spectacular views of the city.

King Room:

It has one bedroom with a king bed that you’ll never want to get out of. It’s one of those that you just sink into and want to stay forever. Especially when you wake up to views like this:

Master Bathroom:

Ok Nomo….now this is BATHROOM GOALS! I love a good tub and this tub is everything. It’s the perfect size, sits inside the shower area which I die for and the views, AGAIN. I had the most relaxing bubble bath, with coffee in hand, soothing music and stared out to the NYC skyline.

This bathroom also had my favorite toilet….yes, I have a favorite toilet and his name is Toto. If you don’t know him, you need to look him up now.

Nomo Soho has been my “home” in NYC for years and now I think you might know why. It is also in the best location in my opinion. It’s walking distance to some of my favorite stores, boutiques, restaurants and wine bars. Also, Nomo Kitchen is spectacular. The chandeliers on the ceiling mixed with the artsy vibe with the Love Wall gives it a luxurious, sexy, artsy feel to it.
